Youāre ready to launch your Etsy shop... but thereās just one little thing standing in the way:
š What exactly are you going to sell?
If youāre anything like me, youāve got about seventeen ideas buzzing around your head.SVGs? Canva templates? Printables? Stickers? Maybe even all of the above?
Friend, take a deep breath. You donāt have to figure it all out today.Letās just take it one sweet step at a time. šÆ
⨠Step 1: Brainstorm Your Creative Honey Pots
Grab a notebook and start jotting down everything you love to create ā things you enjoy so much youād still make them even if they didnāt go viral overnight. šØ
Here are some ideas to get those creative juices flowing:
šļø SVGs for Cricut or Silhouette users
š Canva templates (social media posts, planners, business cards, resumes)
š¼ļø Printable art (quotes, kidsā room decor, seasonal signs)
šļø Stickers for digital planners or scrapbooks
š Journals, trackers, goal-setting sheets
š Invitations, party kits, banners
š Your Action Step:Set a timer for 10 minutes and let yourself brainstorm freely. No judging. No overthinking. Just write. āļø
š Step 2: Check the Buzz
Not every idea needs to become a product ā at least, not right away.Letās make sure your first few ideas have a little buzz behind them. š
Hereās a quick way to check:
š Search Etsy for similar products. Are there plenty of listings? (Thatās a good sign ā it means thereās a demand!)
š² Look at pricing. Are people buying at prices youāre comfortable with?
š¬ Peek at reviews. What are customers loving? What are they wishing was better?
š Your Action Step:From your brainstorm list, pick 2 or 3 ideas that seem like they have real potential based on what you see. ā
š Step 3: Pick Your Starter Hive
This is where you gently choose your first focus. Not forever ā just for right now. š±
Pick one product type you want to lead with:
šÆ One type of product (maybe SVG bundles for crafters)
šÆ One audience (like moms, teachers, or small biz owners)
šØ One vibe or style (like playful, boho, farmhouse, minimalist)
When you stay focused at the start, your shop feels stronger, clearer, and way more welcoming to new customers. āØ
š Your Action Step:Write it down, nice and proud:
"Iām starting my shop with [product type] for [audience] in a [style] vibe." š¬
š Youāre One Step Closer!
See? That wasnāt so scary. š
Finding your buzz is just about getting clear on what you love, what people want, and where those two things meet. šÆ
